Virtual March 2021 WNY Women

0

The WNY Women’s March will actually take place in 2021.

This event, held by WNY Peace Center, is a continuation of the outstanding march that took place in 2017, a day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. To date, the march is the largest one-day protest in U.S. history.

Interestingly, this march is about different aspects of the message. Yes, it is meant as a means of empowering women, giving them a strong voice, but it is also about shaping the role of women in today’s turbulent world when it comes to peace, the environment, humanity, race, migration, health, gender, rights. workers, etc.

After the outstanding march, the women continued to light the torch and gather in their neighborhoods so that their collective goal would remain unchanged and stable. That goal?

“Protecting our rights, our security, our health and our families – recognizing that our strong and diverse communities are the strength of our country.”

This year’s themes include the following objectives:

  • Women in general solidarity
  • Women in peace
  • Women in the Cooperative Economy
  • Women in stability
  • Women in honor of life
