Last week, the Urban Roots Cooperative Garden Market held its first spring gardening workshop in 2021 – raising poultry. These seminars, which used to be held directly, are now, of course, practically held. With this in mind, there are incredibly wide range of horticultural issues to study, from herbal medicine to organic diseases and pest control. There are even a few private lessons (held outdoors in the spring) that sound like a lot of fun, including urban dining.
Registration is now open for all free workshops funded by MAP Growing Green, Grassroots Gardens of WNY and Urban Roots. Everyone, regardless of their gardening ability, is invited.
Space is limited and registration is required.
For those who have missed out on a chicken rearing workshop, make sure this is a BRTV series which shows just how fun it can be, with the exception of being effective … and rewarding those who sometimes enjoy a fresh omelet. And make sure to get acquainted with the roots of Urban from time to time and be aware of all their workshops so that you don’t miss any gardening and backyard adventures.
