Buffalo fever is prevalent in all corners of WNY, but in the city center there is a particularly striking display that is a sight to behold.
Mayor Byron W. Brown has unveiled new vertical banners in the city hall that will mark the city and the world that the Bills are returning to as the AFC East 2020 champions and playoff contenders.
And now, with the latest winning wild cards, Bill Fans call out to show off the pride of their hometown.
Of course, despite the spread of the pandemic, the crowd does not go to restaurants and bars as before, and not even go to the games in the stadium anywhere where they participate at full capacity. So Brown decided to give them a “flag of protest” – something obvious that would provide a perfect selfie station.
Brown’s goal is to collect 2,021 photos from the current and next playoff play of the Bills. Brown also gave up on this previous game last Saturday, Brown also gave away two playoff tickets, which he bought to two city officials to attend the game.
Mayor Brown stated, “Bill fans have been waiting for this day for a long time and I am honored to give my playoff ticket to two exclusive City employees who are also ardent fans. These are hardworking workers who overwork every day. and serve as role models for the hardworking men and women of the city who will continue to lead our city during the global health pandemic of COVID-19. ”
The ticket holders were 19-year-old Jeremiah Harris and 44-year-old Jerome Costner, both ardent fans of the Bills. Department of Street and Sanitation.
Costner stated, “Going to the Playoffs playoffs is a once in a lifetime and it means a lot to me. Thank you, Mayor Brown, for getting to know me, as well as the guys at the Street and Sanitation Department. who do the same for our residents every day. We consider it a privilege. ”
Harris stated, “I never expected to go to the Bills playoffs. Recognized by the municipality means a lot to me, but honestly, I’m doing the best I can for my favorite city. We believe we get a lot the images in the game are fun for everyone. Go bills. ”
Fans of accounts (Mafia Bills) are invited / encouraged to stop by the City Government to get them a social selfie in front of the flag.
“I told you we had big plans to celebrate Bill fans safely during the Bill playoffs,” Mayor Brown said. “We are very proud of our team and hope that our new show will show it. I urge Mafia Bills to stand in front of our Government Selfie Bills building, between now and the next game of Selfie Bills, and take unique, festive and socially distant selfies. We want to attract as many fans as possible so that we can safely complete our goal – 2021 photos to meet the team’s historic season. ”
