ASI / GBCA Advocacy Workshop

ASI and the Greater Buffalo Cultural Coalition (GBCA) will present their fall meeting and public workshop on Erie County’s arts promotion and funding on Wednesday, October 28th. Our program explains what advocacy means, how we use it, and how nonprofit professionals can work with elected officials to defend the goals and interests of their organizations. We will cover the Erie County Arts funding budget process, including its schedule, important dates, and next steps (including any changes or impacts we see due to COVID-19).

The Greater Buffalo Cultural Coalition (GBCA) is a Western New York advocacy group that values the arts and cultural communities in the Buffalo / Niagara area. The goal of GBAO is to use the time, talent and resources of its members and their respective organizations to make art, culture and creativity an important asset of society and a priority area for investment and participation of the state and the individual.
