Seneca Nation of India’s ‘Seneca One Stop’ is on the northeast corner of Perry Street and Michigan Avenue on the verge of completion. A duty-free petrol station and a 24-hour retail outlet will be built on the site where the Ansell Press building sat until April last year. A project built on autonomous territory did not require city approval or permitting.
The facility offers a popular selection of convenience products for drivers, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino guests and those who work and live in the area. The project will create 14 jobs.
“Expanding income opportunities in our territory is our responsibility to the people of Seneca and our future generations,” said Seneca President Matthew Pagels. “Like any government and organization, we have felt the economic pressures of a global pandemic. We need to move forward with strategic development opportunities that will help us expand our economy while providing additional investment to our territories, customer and neighbor services, and job opportunities in our institutions. ”
A Seneca One Station in Falls opened in December 2016.
