The KeyBank round building on Canalside is nearing completion. The eight-story facility will be built on an 8,565-square-foot site near the corner of Prime and Perry Streets. After a delay in work related to Covid, the Buffalo Carousel Heritage was waiting to be reopened to the public on Memorial Day.
The vintage carousel was manufactured in 1924 by Spillman Engineering in North Town for Dominic De Angelis. The carousel operated until the 1950s, when it was maintained by the De Angelis family until the Buffalo heritage acquired it for family-oriented recreation on the Buffalo coast and the celebration of West New York’s industrial heritage.
Arbor Management Management oversees the construction and Eco_Logic Studio design of the circulation house.
