The smell of fresh coffee is one of the inventions of the world. – Hugh Jackman.
Without coffee in the morning, I would have to fill my brain a lot more in the morning to get to work. I’m generally very passionate about my coffee, there are some cafes and places that I prefer over many national coffee chains. In a year that has lost so many things and tested us to the limit, discovering a new coffee shop with amazing coffee was especially exciting for me.
Bean Bastard, located on the corner of Elmwood and Bryant, is much larger than your average cafe. Companion Nick Mirusso’s love for coffee goes far beyond the caffeine addiction that is common for most people when saying “I love coffee”. Mirusso’s relationship with coffee is personal. She has been using roasted coffee for 7 years as a method of developing healthy habits and combating anxiety and depression.
After a year of cooking at home in small quantities and with the encouragement of friends and family, he started selling beans called “Bastad Beans”. With names like Wakanda, Robo-Cup, Redrum and Brews Lee, Bean Bastard culturally refers to pop culture and creates an unparalleled taste while blending. For example, Wakanda mixes three different beans from Rwanda, Burundi and Kenya with citrus and dried fruit to create a delicious and unique flavor, while Redrum offers a rich flavor that has hints of Guava, Black and Dark Chocolate, and while the stroke has a red tinge. from the morning sun.
Features 2 different mixes every day, so every time you go, you have a new experience. All their mixtures can be purchased on site. If you are looking for a delicious and unique gift, I RECOMMEND you to order one of their mixes. In addition to a large blend of coffee, they offer soap, candles and Bean Bastard costumes. Not sure what to get? They also have gift cards.
Saturday is a small business Saturday, what better way to start your holiday shopping than going to the Bean Bastard and getting a cup of their coffee … or better yet, pick up a bag of your beans to take home to enjoy or give as a gift!
Due to the limitations of COVID-19, we recommend that you check the hours and instructions before traveling.
